Aerating

Why use these services?

With an aeration you help nutrients and water get down into the root system which also helps relieve stress on heavy thatch lawns. Over-seeding helps strengthen lawns and introduce new and stronger grasses.

Why Aerate?

Lawn aeration is an excellent way to enhance your lawns appearance and make it healthier at the same time. This service is done throughout the season.

Key Benefits

  • Breaks up compacted soil from traffic
  • Improves root growth
  • Allows water and nutrients to reach the roots more efficiently
  • Controls thatch buildup which should not exceed 1/2”

Aeration Process

Our trained technicians will go over your lawn using one of the most effective lawn aeration machines available today. This machine pulls approximately 2 – 3 inch cores from the soil. These cores are spaced about 6 inches apart. Cores are then left on the lawn to decompose.

Time of year to have your yard aerated and why

Spring time aeration offers your yard a chance to breathe and receive water and nutrients better to get a good jump start on the year while Fall time aeration offers the break up of compacted soil from traffic throughout the year. Both times offer the improved root growth, better water and nutrient absorption, and thatch control and all of these are very important to a healthy lawn. That is why we recommend aeration of your lawn 2 times per year (once in the Spring and once in the Fall) so your lawn can benefit most and be a healthy one.
